Passage: John 17:1–17:8
Summary: Does your life feel like a mouse wheel sometimes? Do you walk through life sensing sometimes that your looking at it all almost as if you're looking at a 3D movie...without the 3D glasses? Life can look fuzzy too often, and feel very much like a mouse wheel. Unless, of course, we have a clear sense of our mission as Jesus-followers. That mission Jesus gave us almost two thousand years ago is something that gives crystal clear vision to every follower. Understanding and embracing the two lenses of the 3D missional glasses given to us by Jesus is essential to redeeming our time and making the most of our lives.

Summary: When Jesus teaches us to pray, "Our Father," He is implying that there is a unity among those who belong to the Father. Next to a proper understanding of God as our Father, our unity together under the Father, as His children, is the second most crucial foundation for a gospel-driven, God-glorifying prayer life.
Praying The Mission: The Simplicity of Prayer
02/13/11
Speaker: Rob Wilkerson
Series: Praying the Mission
Category: The Lord's Prayer
Summary: Prayer, like Bible study and so many other "tasks" in our Christian life, can become so incredibly complex at times. Jesus taught His disciples however, that prayer is really quite simple. Just make your mission and your agenda God's mission and agenda. When the things Jesus wants us to pray for and about become the things we actually pray, our prayer life becomes simple as the complexity dissipates. In this next message in the series on "Praying the Mission," Rob describes how simple Jesus wants our prayer lives to be, and in so doing offers much hope and encouragement, refreshing us to enter into this vital lifestyle for every believer.

Summary: After a two month break from our the series on the Lord's Prayer entitled "Praying the Mission," Rob reviews the essentials of what we've learned so far in the series. The essence of the Lord's Prayer begins with determining whether you are an orphan or an adopted child of God. Orphans pray like that have no Father. Adopted children pray like Jesus teaches us to pray in the Lord's Prayer. A wide door is open in this message to all who feel that they are an orphan, or else feel as if they've been living like one lately.
