What to Expect (on Sundays)

Sunday mornings during The Feast, here's what you can expect to encounter and engage in.

10:00 - 10:45 AM - Praise, Worship, Singing, Dancing, Giving, and Prophecy

We believe with God's Word that every creature ought to let everything that is inside of them praise the Lord.  And we also believe that our great God is to be praised with every part of our body, soul, mind, strength.  This includes our voices, our hands and our feet, and our money...all driven by a substantive, expressive style of praise and worship in song and music with a whole line up of instruments.

We also believe with God's Word that the Holy Spirit's giftings are still in full force and operation within the local church of Jesus Christ.  This includes the Spirit's movement in miracles, healing, words of wisdom and encouragement, and tongues.  We have a "prophecy mic" available up front for those who wish to follow the teaching of 1 Corinthians 14:3 and bring their word of comfort, encouragement, or exhortation to the family of God that morning, after first bringing it to the leadership team members that morning to be weighed and prepared.

Our last song of praise and worship is our church family's opportunity to give their offerings to the Lord.  Expect to see people dancing, singing, and celebrating as they come to give their hearts and souls to God through financial contributions for the building of God's kingdom in planting local churches.

So when you visit with us on a Sunday morning, expect to see a bunch of people who are so captured and enraptured by God's scandalous grace toward them, that they simply cannot contain themselves.  As a visitor, we believe this is one of the best ways to serve you...by letting you catch a glimpse of we believe heaven will be like.  So we simply try to bring it to earth, like Jesus taught us to pray in the Lord's Prayer.

10:45-10:55 - Children, ages 1-5, released to Early Childhood Ministries

We currently have ministry and volunteers set apart to serve your children ages birth through five.  Toddlers up through age 3 are welcome to get involved in our Busy Toddler Room where caring staffers are prepared to play and pray with your children.  Children ages 3-5 are invited to participate in Lil' K Kidmo, where an audio-visually prepared challenge from God's Word is facilitated by experienced parents and volunteers.

10:55-11:45 - Challenge for the Mission

We believe the Sunday messages at Church in the Boro are for a two-fold purpose:  to show us God and His gospel, and to equip us for His mission.  This part of The Feast on Sunday mornings is prepared in prayer and delivered in power, as we tackle various topics through an exposition of biblical texts which keep us connected to the mission.  Notes and audio downloads are made available on the website immediately following the service.

11:45-Noon - Communion

We believe the highest and greatest reflection of our commitment to God and His mission is participation in the Lord's Supper.  It is the gospel preached to us in living-color.  The bread and the wine represent the completed work Jesus Christ has offered to God on our behalf, thereby making us permanently and eternally right with Him.  The Lord's Supper then is a celebration for the soul, as each person, family, or couple approaches the table, takes the bread and wine, and returns to their seat to prayerfully apply it all to their hearts, before eating and drinking.

Noon - 12:30 - Coffee and Snacks

We finish up The Feast by connect with you, our visitors, over coffee and snacks.  Expect to be asked to lunch by someone in our family, as we desperately desire to get to know you, your journey, and where you believe God is calling you so that we can somehow be a blessing to you along your way.
