Rob Wilkerson
Rob comes to the Church in the Boro plant from a variety of backgrounds, all providentially woven together to provide a unique set of experiences and skill sets helpful for a church planting situation. Twenty years in church ministry and leadership has included the following experiences:
- Glenwood Hills Baptist Church (Conyers, GA), summer intern.
- Ambassadors for Christ International (Marietta, GA), a local church leadership based mission organization, functioning as an assistant to the International Directory and Evangelist in Training, while attending Luther Rice Seminary (Lithonia, GA).
- Glenwood Hills Bible Church (Conyers, GA) as a minister to students and biblical - nouthetic counselor, trained under NANC Fellow, Lou Priolo.
- Grace Community Church (Sun Valley, CA), where he attended seminary, and worked on staff at the church as a pastoral intern under Steve Camp, under the ministry of John MacArthur, as well as a technology assistant to professors at The Master's Seminary.
- Grace Bible Fellowship (Brentwood, CA), where he served on the pastoral staff as preaching pastor.
- Grace Community Church (Grand Rapids, MI), where he served as associate pastor in a Fellowship of Independent Reformed Evangelicals (F.I.R.E.) church.
- Waverly Hall Baptist Church (Waverly Hall, GA) where he served as senior pastor for a Southern Baptist Convention local church.
- Crossway Fellowship Church (Athens, GA), where he served as a layperson, leading children's ministries and discipling, in this Sovereign Grace Ministries local church.
Another colorful handiwork of God in Rob's life is his business background. God has orchestrated a variety of work experiences that have converged at this time and place to uniquely outfit him for service in church planting here in Statesboro, GA. From distribution to sales, photography to technology, PC's to telephones, floor cleaning to warehouse management, and most recently to small business consultation, Rob's passion is to see the gospel of Christ impact cities where it is always felt the most: in its businesses. 
Through almost all of these experiences, Rob will say that he has been also uniquely suited by his better half, Sherri, with whom he is in his sixteenth year of marriage. Harrison (14), Eli (11), Sophia (9), and Kirk (7), and Buddy Roe the black lab (3), all partner together in the difficult but joyous work of church planting. Together they are on a mission to reconcile sinners to God, people to each other, and the world to King Jesus.
